You know we love a good rug print with bold colours at Horseland, and our Spring Summer Rug Range for 2022 does not disappoint! Here we reveal where these ideas originated from for the new WeatherBeeta and Saxon ranges.
WeatherBeeta Bee Print
We were absolutely buzzing to find out where this adorable, bright and cute print inspiration came from and to put it simply, the idea came from awareness of the planet! The WeatherBeeta Bee Print was put together when thinking about how important bees are for our ecosystem and how we consume so many products with honey from our bees every day. Because of this, WeatherBeeta decided to not only design a print to show appreciation to this amazing animal, but in collaboration with Horseland we’re running a campaign to promote awareness of bees and help fund research that addresses national and global threats to bees. We’ll be sponsoring a hive at the Wheen Bee Foundation Research Apiary. The Wheen Bee Foundation is a non-for-profit organisation that promotes awareness of the importance of bees for food security, biodiversity and ecosystem health and raises funds for research that addresses national and global threats to bees. The popular bee print is currently available in the WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Combo Neck Lite and Standard Neck style as well as in a Hay Bag, Fly Mask in the 1200D Wide Tab Travel Boots. WeatherBeeta Palm Tree Print
As Australia lived through multiple lockdowns over the 2020-2021 period, many of us were left dreaming about travel and a tropical holiday. That’s when the fabulous palm tree print was created. Some may call it manifesting, but WeatherBeeta brought the tropical holiday we needed straight to our paddocks with a refreshing and fun palm tree print in the lovely turquoise design! This print is available in the WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Plus Dynamic II Lite Combo Neck and Standard neck styles! Who doesn’t love some palm tree fun?!
WeatherBeeta Marble Swirl Print
The marble swirl print first came out in Saddle Pads, Ear Bonnets and Bandages, then came Brushes and now follows a rug! Tweaking the colour slightly, the marble swirl is available in a gorgeous turquoise swirl marble in the extremely popular WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Plus Dynamic II Combo Neck Medium/lite style. We’ve never done a print in this rug style, so why not do it with one of the most popular spring rugs of choice?
WeatherBeeta Grey/ Orchid Colourway
Who doesn’t love grey with a dash of purple? This classic colourway was created with the idea of a classic grey rug with a pop of colour, and purple and pink were the two colours being tossed up. Ultimately, the WeatherBeeta team sent around a couple of different choices to all the horsey staff members, and the grey/orchid colourway was born and is now available in the WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Classic Combo Neck Lite and ComFiTec Classic Standard Neck lite styles.
WeatherBeeta Navajo Print
The Navajo print has been inspired by the arts of the Navajo Native American people. This print incorporates a diamond line pattern and is available in the refreshing turquoise and grey colourway and also plum/indigo. This print has been extremely successful in the USA, so we have been refreshing colours each year. It has a western influence, which appeals to our country riders. You can find the Navajo print in the WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Essential Standard Neck Lite Plus which offers a little extra fill than our standard lite rugs.
Saxon Flamingo Print
Grey is a great staple colour this season and when we added pink it made the Saxon team think of flamingoes… hence the flamingo print was born! Flamingoes have been becoming more and more popular in pop culture, so this was a no brainer to have as the Saxon seasonal print for spring summer. This print ties in so well with the tropical theme and is available in the popular Saxon 1200D with Buckle Combo Neck Lite and Saxon 1200D with Buckle Standard Neck Lite styles.
Saxon Pink/Green Colourway
Spring summer fashion means bright colours! The Saxon team researched the colour trends for spring summer 2022 and they were bold colours like pink, purple and yellow. The pink was a popular choice between staff members, and once pairing it with green it was instantly associated with watermelon. Watermelon is such a refreshing fruit often eaten in spring and summer, and this rug is definitely refreshing! This colourway is available in the Saxon 600D Combo Neck Lite and Saxon 600D Standard Neck Lite.
