This year’s Autumn/Winter Rug Range has a strong animal influence! We’ve been eagerly awaiting the launch at Horseland HQ and want to give you the inside scoop on where the print ideas came from.
WeatherBeeta Sloth Print
Our super cute sloth print comes in the classic WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Essential Combo Neck Medium, WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Essential Standard Neck Medium, WeatherBeeta Fleece Cooler with D Ring Standard Neck and WeatherBeeta Printed Stretch Hood with Zip. This lovely print has a green base with sleepy sloths hanging from branches and eating leaves. The idea came from the WeatherBeeta rug designer Tenielle who received a pair of socks with a sloth on them during 2021 COVID lockdowns which planted the seed!
WeatherBeeta Turtle Print
Sticking with our animal theme, with sloths coming from the rainforest we wanted something from under the sea! The bubbly turtle print was then born. This rug print has a blue base with smiling turtles swimming around surrounded by bubbles. This print is available in the WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Essential Combo Neck Medium only.
WeatherBeeta Dark Blue/Pink Plaid
Last year’s plaid was so popular that we had to come back with another one. This season we’ve given our plaid a refresh by using a dark blue base and added a pop of pink. From research orchid pink was a key colour for winter 2023, so we added this to our popular plaid. This print is available in our rugs that feature the freedom system, the WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Premier Free II Detach-A-Neck Medium, WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Premier Free II Combo Medium and WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Premier Free II Standard Neck Medium.
WeatherBeeta Herringbone Print
The WeatherBeeta Herringbone print was a late addition to our range as we wanted to offer something different to our animal prints in the Plus Dynamic style, so we took inspiration from the traditional herringbone print. We wanted to put a modern spin on this classic, so changed what everyone knows as the typical herringbone pattern. We incorporated one of the key fashion colours for winter 2023, lazuli blue, and added a pop of orange to really bring this print together. This print is available in the WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Plus Dynamic II Combo Neck Medium, WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Plus Dynamic II Detach-A-Neck Medium and WeatherBeeta ComFiTec Plus Dynamic II Standard Neck Medium styles.
Saxon Dinosaur Print
Our prehistoric print drew inspiration from a set of pyjamas with dinos on them. We decided our horses would look so cute in their own dino pjs and that’s where this adorable print came from. This is only available for the littlest members of your stable in the Saxon Robust 600D Pony Standard Neck Medium and Saxon Robust 600D Pony Combo Neck Medium.
Saxon Paint Splatter Print
This is our first time putting a print into our Saxon Infinite range (1850D) and we wanted to quite literally come out with a splash... which inspired the new paint print. This bold colour combo really works having a navy blue base with bright pink, light blue and white splatters. It’s available in the Saxon Infinite 1680D Combo Neck Medium.
Saxon Dark Green Forest Plaid
Last year we did a plaid in our Saxon Robust 1200D Combo Neck Medium, so this year we updated the colour. We chose dark green as it was another fashion colour for winter 2023 and paired it with lighter greens and blues to create a cool-toned rug. This is available in the Saxon Robust 1200D Combo Neck Medium, Saxon Robust 1200D Combo Neck Heavy and Saxon Robust 1200D Standard Neck Medium.
